Meet The Team
Dr. Sue Hwang
Dr. Sue grew up in the Sunshine State, Florida. She graduated from University of Florida with a
Microbiology & Cell Sciences major as the college’s Valedictorian and completed her dental education
from University of Pennsylvania with a double degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master in
Bioethics (MBE). With her strong interests in education and caring for children, she then came to New York
where she completed her certificate in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University. Dr. Sue has further
shared her passion in pediatric dentistry by treating children abroad in multiple dental mission trips to
Guatemala since 2010. She now resides in New York City with her daughter and her husband who works as an
interventional radiologist in New Jersey.
She is a respected diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a board certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Sue focuses on preventive care to help each child have a healthy smile that will last a lifetime. She hopes to do her very best in guiding her patients’ dental growth and development within a caring, nurturing environment.

Dr. Sheila Kaushik
Dr. Kaushik is a pediatric dentist based in New York City, but she is originally from the D.C.
metropolitan area. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Drexel
University in Philadelphia and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia
Commonwealth University, graduating both programs with honors. She completed her
pediatric dental residency at New York University and Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Kaushik is
passionate about providing community service and has volunteered both domestically and
internationally – examples include providing dental care at Missions of Mercy events in Virginia, highlighting the importance of oral health in public elementary schools throughout New York City and being a part of a global outreach team providing treatment in Hopewell, Jamaica.
Additionally, she is passionate and highly trained in treating patients with special needs and
strongly believes that all patients deserve the best care, regardless of physical or
developmental differences. Dr. Kaushik is also skilled in behavioral management techniques to
help ease the fear and anxiety that many children experience at the dentist and strives to make
every dental experience a comfortable and positive one for her pediatric patients. In her spare
time, Dr. Kaushik enjoys traveling, fitness, and trying out all the amazing restaurants New York
City has to offer!

Dr. Niaz Ahmed
Dr. Niaz is a New Yorker through and through. Born and raised in the Bronx, he attended Townsend Harris High School in Queens. He then left New York briefly to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, only to return for dental school at NYU where he was class president. He completed his pediatric dental residency at Montefiore, where he was also a patient during his younger days. He is passionate about preventative care, access to care, and providing the best experience possible to children and their families.
During his free time, Dr. Niaz loves to watch basketball (die-hard Knicks fan), explore new bakeries and cafes, and take long walks especially during the fall season. His favorite movie is Hocus Pocus. There was a time when he watched the movie every Saturday throughout the entire year. He stopped doing this shortly after getting married last year.
